Republican Dede Scozzafava has suspended her bid in next Tuesday’s NY 23 special election, a huge development that dramatically shakes up the race. She did not endorse either of her two opponents — Conservative party candidate Doug Hoffman or Democrat Bill Owens.

Breaking DeDe has dropped out of the race here in the NY-23. A source colse to the Hoffman campaign confirms that DeDe Scozzafava has bowed out of the race. Stay tunes to 73wire for more details and audio of Dede addressing supporters.
Again, if true, this will be a massive display of power from the Tea Party and Conservative movements.

It’s certainly a massive display of something. Manipulation perhaps?
I’m not a Republican (hell, I’m not even a Democrat) and I’m not a resident of the district, but if I were I’d be more than miffed with all these outside politicos messing with my district’s election. I guess that makes me a purist, and a bit naive as well.
May the better (or better funded, or overhyped, or more useful tool-wise) candidate win.
