Blogger Asks for Payment From a Newspaper Part Two
This is a follow-up video to my last video asking for payment from the Tampa Tribune for publishing a piece of mine without my permission.
After the YouTube video made the rounds Media General, specifically the editor at the Tampa Tribune asked for my Social Security number in order to send me a check.
Here’s what I take away from this: public embarrassment works in holding corporations accountable. Public embarrassment can be done via YouTube. YouTube is accessible. Therefore, public embarrassment is accessible.
I think this Internet thing could really take off.

“You didn’t ask for payment, so that’s why we didn’t pay you.”
Classy.
This is a great video. Doesn’t surprise me much about the Tribune. I only dealt with one Tribune editor but she acted like she was half insane. I’ve never been treated so rudely as I was the day I met with her.
