Cops Play Wii During a Drug Ring Raid

Alright, so I’m all for criticizing unruly police behavior, but this is the exact opposite of watching cops taser a paraplegic or punching an eight year old skateboarder in the face.

A group of police officers in Lakeland County Florida were sent to search the house of someone thought to be involved in a drug ring. The search took nine hours, and as you might imagine, you would probably get a bit stir crazy hanging out in a drug dealer’s house all day.

Well, fortunately, he was rich enough from dealing to have a big screen TV and a Wii, which the officers promptly took turns bowling on all day. What they didn’t know is that they were being recorded on a hidden camera, and the footage made its way to the internet and well, the rest is history.

The police department says they’re embarrassed and they’re launching an investigation, but really? An investigation for a bunch of bored cops playing Wii? I believe there are probably much more pressing issue Internal Affairs could be looking into, no?

    About Me

After rising to blogging fame as the University of Michigan's answer to Gossip Girl, I took the EIC job at a student blog network spreading my wealth of college experience across the nation. My passion project is a movie/tv/gaming site called Unreality and I'm a movie news editor at JoBlo.com. I'm new to this business, and I think I'm a part of the first generation of journalists to skip print media entirely. When I started out, I had zero idea blogging could be a career, but I've learned more in the last ten months than I did in four years of college. What exactly did I major in again?
