Ryanair cabin crew strip for 2010 calendar
Ryanair, which bills itself as the world’s favourite airline, is in the news again. First it was their proposal to pay to pee onboard and then the announcement of smokeless cigarettes on the flights.
Now the cabin crew has stripped for a calendar. The 2010 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar is a fundraiser for KIDS. The airline hopes to raise 110,000 Euros (about $65,000 US) for the UK charity that supports disabled children in the UK.
The calendar, which sells for 10 Euros ($15 US), is for sale onboard Ryanair flights or on their website. The photos were shot at Ryanair’s Alicante base in Sept. 2009; 800 of the cabin crew’s 4,000 volunteered to put forth their sexiest poses to be among “the girls of Ryanair.”
Ryanair’s CEO Michael O’Leary bought the first 100 copies of the 2010 calendar and sent one to Labour MEP Mary Honeyball. Last year, Honeyball “wrongly accused” Ryanair of “forcing” cabin crew to take part in the calendar.
