Free website finds luggage information

A new website, simply called www.luggagelimits.com, should be a big boost to travelers who are confused by all the different airline baggage allowance regulations. The free site is the creation of algebra teacher Luke Dudley. Working at a boarding school, Dudley realized that it was often daunting for students to decipher luggage limits from an airline’s individual website.

With luggagelimits.com, all you do is enter the name of your airline, along with the departure and arrival airports. You’ll then be provided with the exact luggage information for a specific flight. The site also has flight information about carry-on baggage, excess baggage sizes and costs.

The website currently includes more than 55 major carriers in the US, Canada and the UK. There is also information from 3,000 airports around the world. The site will eventually be expanded to include non-US carriers’ policies, along with additional destination information. No membership is required.

    About Me

I'm a professional freelance writer and photographer who has been in the journalism 'biz since 1988. I live on a small farm on an island in Puget Sound with my husband, chickens, turkeys and our very own field of dreams. When I'm not packing and unpacking from exploring the seven continents (yup, I've done 'em all), I enjoy theater, movies, jazz, fine food, heavenly spas and long dinner parties with my family and friends. Oh, I grew up in the '60s and I sort of remember it through the haze.
