i still disagree with you. they’re just saying we don’t understand the driving force of climate change, and they never say “doom-mongers” or anything like that.

here’s a couple of the inconsistences:
the global temperature did drop last year, all of the other planet’s temperatures were rising over the past 10 years, there have been huge ups and downs in CO2 levels in the past on Earth, and humans, as of late, have carbon emissions of about 10% of the Earth’s total.

…so i agree with them that we don’t know… and they are not against conserving energy and whatever else is needed to make your carbon footprint smaller.

Did you happen to see the first segment of last night’s episode, where Stewart holds a vibrating weight in front of him as if it was an ejaculating penis?
The man is a comedian and satirist, I think people are so enamored by his criticisms that they forget this and place him on a pedestal.

We are in a sorry state indeed if we are holding our jesters to the same standards as our leaders.

Nice analysis, Stephan.

Very disappointing to see Stewart get this so badly wrong. And he has no excuse – climate scientists, a Nobel economist and many more have explained in excruciating detail how badly Levitt / Dubner have got… everything wrong.

It’s like Maher and his anti-vaccine idiocy, only with climate millions or billions will die if we don’t act.

It reads as if those who are focused on reducing carbon are a bunch of doom-mongers who can’t see the simple solution in front of their face. Have a look, and post again if you feel differently.
