New animation: Sarah Palin resigns

Um, did someone give Sarah Palin Mark Sanford’s speech by mistake?

She sure is a maverick, quitting the job Alaskans elected her to do for no apparent reason! I cant wait till she’s president!

New animation: Glenn Beck on Al Franken

I’m kind of sad that Bill O’Reilly had a guest host on the night that Al Franken was officially declared a US Senator, but not to worry–Glenn Beck always brings plenty of crazy to the table:

And if you’re in New York City, I’m doing another LIVE Scott Bateman Animation Show tomorrow night. I screen my recent news-oriented animations and discuss them with a panel of comedians.

Live, in-person guests:
Janeane Garofalo!
Pete Holmes (various VH-1 talking head shows)
Jamie Kilstein (HuffPo, the BBC)

Scott Bateman Animation Show
Thursday, July 2 9:30 PM
The Peoples Improv Theater
154 W. 29th Street, NYC
Only FIVE BUCKS! Wow!

Advance tickets (recommended) here.

Come on down!

New animation: Pat Buchanan vs Global Warming

Here’s some actual audio from MSNBC this past weekend: Pat Buchanan is asked about the energy bill and goes off a wonderfully insane tangent about how global warming is a hoax. And he doesn’t stop there:

Pat Buchanan: clearly, America’s #1 source of greenhouse emissions.

New animation: Rush Limbaugh’s got a theory about Mark Sanford

Rush knows why Mark Sanford had an affair: it was Obama and the Democrats. Actual audio from Thursday’s show:

For someone who complains so much about America’s “victim mentality,” Rush sure plays the victim card a lot. Just sayin’.

Mark Sanford’s press conference, animated

Actual audio from today’s shocking (I was expecting craziness, not adultery) presser:

In fact, the adultery admission managed to block out some of the fundamental questions: why not put the lieutenant governor in charge if you’re going to be unreachable, did taxpayers pay for the trip, how awful are you to make your wife lie about you going to see your mistress, etc. Many more shoes to drop, I expect.

    About Me

Animator. Here's some of what I've currently got going on:

I have a blog, of course.

Atom Age Vampire: Atom Age Vampire is my first feature-length animated film; it's currently screening at film festivals and is available on DVD.

    The 10,000 3x5: 10,000 drawings on 3x5 cards.

    I'm on Twitter.

My book Scott Bateman's Sketchbook of Secrets & Shame (Word Riot, 2007) is still available on Amazon.

For over 160 older animations, visit me on YouTube. There are also a few animations from my old TV show Scott Bateman Presents Scott Bateman Presents (PlumTV) on my VImeo page.

Also: I played the Sun in a play about the solar system in third grade. It's all been downhill since.
