Neurovid: The Internet Is For Porn… and Dictatorship

Is the Internet the slingshot of democracy against the Goliath of dictatorship?:

Evgeny Morozov is a contrarian of the online revolution, reminding us all that while the Internet has done a tremendous amount of good – liberating ideas, facts, and people – it just as useful at continuing oppression. His insightful TED talk details examples of how regimes are learning to use the Internet for furthering propaganda and simultaneously silencing dissent.

Morozov is “known for debunking — with facts, figures and sound research — myths and media-bandwagon assumptions.”

Ask him questions through reddit, and the top 10 will be asked on Sept. 29.
