Michele “Mama Che” Bachmann strikes again!

200px-mbachmann1

I’m fast coming to believe that there is no better  entertainment on this planet  than keeping up with that great American revolutionary, Michele “Mama Che” Bachmann.

Speaking today to conservative media outlet Pajamas TV, Bachmann noted the “interesting coincidence” that swine flu outbreaks occur when the Democrats are in power. While Bachmann  generously noted that she’s not blaming swine flu on President Obama (unlike Rush Limbaugh who blamed Obama for giving pig flu to the Mexicans), she nevertheless remains fascinated by the mysterious connection between Democrats and the killer flu virus.

What is even more fascinating – but hardly a coincidence- is that Bachmann didn’t have her facts quite right. The last outbreak of swine flu in this country occurred in 1976 when an Army private based at Fort Dix in New Jersey died from the virus while four others were hospitalized. Who was president in 1976? Gerald Ford…. Republican.

In the words of another great American, Bugs Bunny, “What a ma-roon.”

Luv her, luv her, luv her! Come 2010 I intend to make contributions to her reelection campaign and hope she continues the “fine” work she is doing. Who knows, maybe she’ll decide to run for prez, just think of what a Palin ~ Bachmann ticket could mean!

    LUV HER!

It’s what makes America great. Someone who is laughable that you are legally allowed to laugh at and ridicule. It’s the litmus test that tells if the republic still stands.

    About Me

I am an attorney in Southern California, and a frequent writer, speaker and consultant on health care policy and politics. To that end, I am active member of the Association of Health Care Journalists. Based in beautiful Santa Monica, California, I'm very pleased to have the opportunity to be a contributing editor to True/Slant. I've recently finished a book designed to make the health care debate understandable to the average reader, and expect it to be out in the next five months or earlier. In my 'spare time', I continue to write for television and, occasionally, for comic books.

My checkered past includes stints in creative writing and production for television where I did strange things like founding the long running show "Access Hollywood" and serving, for many years, as the president of the Marvel Character Group where I had the distinct pleasure of being one of Spider-man's bosses.
