Cyber-Monday Is Travel’s Black Friday
Black Friday isn’t the only day of the year for the best bargains as a number of businesses are launching special sales today, especially big-name airlines and hotel chains.
For a quick rundown:
- JetBlue has tweeted their “Trio-Fare” Monday sales, with one-way tickets at $39, $69 and $99
- Virgin America sent out a mass-email promo early this morning for a slew of specials for flying from today to December 17, as long as you book by December 2
- The NYT Travel section has found some specials for Starwood Hotels and Resorts around-the-world
- Travel guru Peter Greenberg’s blog has listings on Amtrak, Southwest and Hotels.com
Although the airlines don’t seem to be standing down from raising fares and adding surcharges this holiday season, they are still trying to lure passengers in with some attractive-looking fares. But who knows how many seats on a plane will actually be at those low, low rates. Hopefully you can get there before it’s gone.
Anyone find a decent one? Or something special that’s not on this list?
