Poll: What is your favorite ticket booking site?
There are so many different websites these days for booking plane tickets. Some claim they’re the cheapest, others promote themselves with package deals, and it just seems to go on and on. Which one do you prefer when booking air travel?

I usually find my fares on Sidestep.com (it searches all the airlines and discount sites) and then purchase them directly from the airline (to cut down on logistical issues).
I do a lot of travel for my day job, as well as for my side job (photography), and I have found that, at the end of the day, there is a lot to be said for the common suggestion of eschewing these low-price sites in favor of paying a little extra to have a relationship with a particular vendor. It makes a much more noticeable difference in the Hotel industry, where points are more useful, but in the airline industry, frequent fliers gain a lot by sticking to one site. I found that by staying with Continental this year in most cases (the exception was JetBlue for their all-you-can-fly pass, I probably spent about $500-600 total more than I would have using “lowest price” sites. That said, I have managed to get upgraded to first class on no less than six flights this year, including 2 cross-country flights. That was well worth the extra money. If I were not a frequent flier, I would probably use Sidestep, Hotwire.com, Orbitz and Priceline to do my due diligence – but also check the web site of the airline itself, since some of those sites will tell you in advance.
I’m with Jessica. Sidestep.com and Kayak.com merged two years ago, and I’m a Kayak’er all the way. Gives users more choices and more control.
