Today is the 40th  anniversary of the moon landing, which has a lot of people questioning why we had the program and then never went back after a few visits. Well, if you’re interested in taking a vacation out of this world, you should start planning now. While some may joke about it, some day it could be a reality. Here’s a few ways of getting there:

1. Virgin Galactic: After trying to revolutionize air travel with Virgin airliners Atlantic, America and Australia, Sir Richard Branson is investing on revolutionizing travel to the moon. His space-tourism operation, Virgin Galactic, even recently announced successful passenger rocket tests in Southern California.
2. Contact Russia: If you have millions of dollars just collecting in your closet, why not call up the Russian Federal Space Agency? It only takes several months of intense training (both technical and physical) along with forking over major cash. Lance Bass almost made it, but came up a few dollars short.
3. Space Camp: Start prepping here on earth by enrolling in an adult space camp. For three to six days, you will go through flight simulators, defy gravity and maybe even eat some of that yummy astronaut freeze-dried ice cream.
4. Join NASA: They might go back someday, but with the astronomical budget woes in this country, it probably won’t happen anytime soon.
5. Head to New Mexico: Head here with a gallon of strawberry ice cream and hope to get kidnapped by little green men. It might be the quickest option…
