About 5 years ago I started a crime blog on my own, on a lark. A dark lark, I guess. Then, for whatever reason, it turned into a 'thing.' Since then I've written for TruTV, Radar Magazine, ASSME and Village Voice Media. As a crime-related talking head I've appeared on Fox News, HLN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and was even part of an aborted series pilot on TruTV. My crime-blogging has received notice in several publications, including Rolling Stone's ranking of two sites as among the top 5 true crime sites on the 'Net in 2006. Village Voice Media brought me on-board to run The True Crime Report in 2008. I'm on Twitter: @SteveHuff.

My Most Awkward Moment
When I told the man who'd composed an opera in which I'd just played a role that my parents liked it, because their tastes were kind of "plebiean." I meant it as a compliment, too. I was 19, is my excuse.

Is to form an a cappella ensemble of classically-trained vocalists and cover Renaissance, Classical and contemporary pop music. And Metal. Lots of Metal.
