About Me

An Ohio native, I'm currently a journalism graduate student at NYU. I've been published in media outlets such at The New York Daily News, Livewire, Pavement Pieces, US Weekly and the Record-Herald.

I think that journalists are absolutely irreplaceable in our society and provide an integral function for the public - informing people of current events and news they should know about.

While I love to write news stories, I also love to have an opinion of those stories -which is why True/Slant is the perfect place for me.

My Current Project

I'm currently working on a story about the sexting trend among teens and preteens and the fact that they can be labeled as sex offenders.

My Greatest Achievement

Being nominated for as Associated Press of Ohio award. Also, leaving Ohio and taking the biggest risk of my life to attend graduate school at NYU.

My Biggest Regret

I don't have regrets. Seriously.

Print reporters who have made it in the industry despite slashed budgets and immense cutbacks.

How I Pay For This Wardrobe

I don't spend money on food, rather, I spend it on clothes.

Blocks I've Been Around

I've been up and down I-71 in Ohio more times than I can count, thanks to an hour-plus commute to my first job as a reporter.

Where I'd Like To Be 10 Years From Now

I'm one of the few dinosaurs left that still wants to work at a daily newspaper, churning out stories on a daily basis and seeing my name in print the next day.
