I am the author of In Her Own Sweet Time: Unexpected Adventures in Finding, Love, Commitment and Motherhood (Basic Books), and am an essayist and journalist who lives in a studio with a view in Manhattan's West Village. When I'm not sitting at my desk, you may imagine that I could be posting while I am undercover with prostitutes or ravers, observing fashion trends in American malls, exploring (and sometimes surfing) secret beaches, traveling with my camera in the wilds of India, South Africa, or Brazil, or just sitting in one of my neighborhood coffee shops, MoJo or 11th Street Cafe. My other writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York magazine, The New York Observer, US News and World Report, Salon.com, Self, Vogue, Business Week, O magazine, and my essay "The Multi-Tasking Man" appeared in What Makes a Man:22 Writers Imagine the Future, edited by Rebecca Walker (Riverhead Books, 2004)
