About Me
For 20 years I have done research and written about social movements; children's rights; international and domestic research; globalization; community development; and all things non-profit, philanthropic, and social-entrepreneurial. I've worked in academia, think-tanks, progressive coalitions, and for myself. I'm starting a new media consultancy and blogging about my interests in art, science, and humanity. Drop me a line, let's have tea.

Things That Really Happened
Drove horse and buggy home from party in rural Amazonia, in pitch black, wee hours, through woods and across creeks. Had never driven a horse before, but my friend (who owned the horse) was drunk. Asked an Irish mercenary and an AWB soldier to put away their guns in a bar in Pretoria. Read a bio of Ché Guevara on a boat going down the Amazon River. Shook Ronald Reagan's hand in 1980.
