About Me
I’m originally from Boston, living in LA, with a passion for the world of figure skating. During my career on the ice, I was a world junior champion, a five-time U.S. national medalist, and a three-time world team member. Since retiring from the sport, I have dedicated myself to attaining my college degree with a major in broadcast journalism. I’m looking forward to sharing my views on the ins and outs of the skating world, along with my opinions and thoughts on various issues coming from the ice. I welcome you to my blog!

Moments I'd Like To Forget
Falling in big competitions, in front of thousands of fans and millions watching on TV. Those moments are less-than-glamorous, and I would love to take a few back.
How I Pay For This Wardrobe
I’m a college student, so that mean no income. Luckily I haven’t grown much in the past few years, and my professors don’t mind if I wear the same jeans every day. Gross, I know.

More than you'd think..
Things That Really Happened
After pull an all-nighter in Russia following a competition, I made it to the airport for my morning flight back to the States. Unfortunately, I realized once I got to the ticket counter that I had left my passport back at the hotel--forty minutes away. Of course this is Moscow in December, no one speaks English, it’s five o’clock in the morning, pitch dark outside and snowing--hard. I had to track down a cab, find the name of the hotel I had stayed at (I never remember these things), and cross my fingers that this cabbie could slightly understand what I was trying to communicate. Thank goodness he was a really nice guy and wasn’t afraid to speed! Less than an hour later I made it to my gate, passport in hand, just as my plane was boarding. Ah, the joys of traveling!
Where I'd Like To Be 10 Years From Now
Hopefully working on something I'm passionate about with some great people.
Why True/Slant
Because it allows journalists to write about subjects they love, and allows great reader/blogger interaction.
