About Me
Suburban Bay Area mom of two teens and stepmom to a college freshman has decided to change careers after 20+ years in the ad biz. Going to school full-time in pursuit of that goal. Originally hail from the NYC metro, with stints in Boston for college and jobs. Have taken to San Francisco like a duck to water, and have lived here since 1999.

Q&A
What I'm Currently Addicted To...
"Glee" and sadly, Facebook. Oh, and the Cowgirl Creamery's Triple Cream is to die for.
This Is Annoying Me...
The phrase "the art of the possible" when it comes to politics. More like "the art of pushing as far as I can without my corporate contributors abandoning ship", but hey, that's just me.
This Is Making Me Worry...
that our financial infrastructure is a house of cards. That my children will be slaves to the debt on their college financing.
This Is Bringing Me Joy...
Seeing my kids become responsible mensches.

a work life that doesn't require me to change who I am.

Meg Whitman's campaign for governor.

How I Pay For This Wardrobe
If by "wardrobe" you mean jeans from Old Navy and occasional trips to Nordstrom Rack for the good stuff, it's not hard. I live in Northern California where money is spent on cars and real estate, not fashion.
Blocks I've Been Around
Any that contain a good Jewish deli.
Things That Really Happened
Attended the Woodstock music festival at the age of 8. My mother thought it would be like Tanglewood. Boy, was she wrong. Got into Studio 54 when I was a high school senior. Let's just say that was an eye-opening experience.
Where I'd Like To Be 10 Years From Now
Out of suburbia and in a flat in the city.
Why True/Slant
Clever, topical, and thought-provoking. All the things a blog site should be. But can someone change your tagline? Not worthy of your content. (Once an ad guy, always an ad guy.) ;-)
