A youth sports blog written by Bob Cook. He contributes to NBCSports.com, or MSNBC.com, if you prefer. He’s delivered sports commentaries for All Things Considered. For three years he wrote the weekly “Kick Out the Sports!” column for Flak Magazine.
Most importantly for this blog, Bob is a father of four who is in the throes of being a sports parent and youth coach in an inner-ring suburb of Chicago. He reserves the right to change names to protect the innocent and the extremely, extremely guilty.

I'm Known For...
Nothing, really. But if you have an amazingly long memory and knowledge of the arcane, you might remember me from such gigs as doing sports commentaries for NPR's All Things Considered and sports pieces for MSNBC.com. Geez, I'm channeling Troy McClure.
My Greatest Achievement
Finding someone who would marry me and bear my children.
Where I'd Like To Be 10 Years From Now
Because they'll let me.
My Other Website
What I'm Currently Addicted To...
Starbucks Grande Americano with two Sweet 'n' Lows and skim milk. And I've gotta say, I'm pretty ticked that one of my regular Starbucks makes me ask for skim milk instead of leaving it out. That's one additional second before I get caffeine. That ain't right.
This Is Annoying Me...
This Is Making Me Worry...
I'm not really a worrier. I leave that to my wife.
This Is Bringing Me Joy...
I should say my wife and kids, because they do, and because I'm a bad person if I don't, right? Just for that, I'll say, the new Marmoset album.
I'm Running From...
Running. Man, am I out of shape.
This Is Helping Me Create...
The knowledge I'm on deadline.
This Is Making Me Think - Hard...
Hmm. Let me keep thinking about that one.
This Makes My Teeth Itch
Forgetting to brush them before bed, and after another Starbucks americano.
Can't Do Without
Ipod. Or any music delivery device.
Indiana Pacers radio announcer Mark Boyle.
My Most Awkward Moment
My life is a series of awkward moments. Asking me to rank the most is one of them.
