I am a San Francisco Bay Area native who writes on politics, culture, and technology. People in groups fascinate me just like ants and monkeys do. I kind of hate political parties, but love the bizarre power shifts and unpredictable outcomes of our political system. I call myself a progressive, but really I'm a pragmatist full of glib certainties I'm sure to regret. Because there are always two sides to every coin, but you can only ever see one side at a time.
