The Video Magnificence of Artist Marco Brambilla
ArtsJournal.com posted a video by Marco Brambilla on its homepage today. It’s a visually stunning experience. Same thing goes for all his video works, which can be seen on his website. Definitely watch the whole video on large screen mode; it has a narrative quality; and there is no end to the minutiae you can spot across the screen. My favorite part is the Busby Berkeley footage at about the 1:30 mark. Brambilla’s work is shown at Cannes and is in the permanent collections of the Guggenheim and the San Francisco Museum of Art.

very cool, and its at the Standard? I gotta check that out. … ah corporate patronage!
You know, it’s not ideal to have such corporate patronage, but then again it could be worse. A friend told me recently that the UBS building in Manhattan has a pretty active art program and they have exhibitions in the lobby of their offices.
