Good for Angie. She has a calling to help children and she is doing it. Overwhelmed large family? OK how many of you very critical people grew up in a large family. I did and let me tell you going for an only child to the oldest of 5 was great. It is the best gift a parent can give. Chaos is fun.

Angelina and Brad are not married, they can not legally adopt as a married couple if they aren’t married.

As an adoptive parent I can assure you that they have to have a social worker interview everyone in the home, that includes both adults. The adults have to be on board with this or the social worker will not approve the homestudy.

Also the only difference between an adoption for an A lister and someone like me is that they don’t spend as much time saving cash for their adoption as I did, and a lawyer prepares their documents while I prepared my own. They are still required to go through the same legal process as everyone else.

The idea that tabloids are lying to sell magazines is not new. Please do a little research on adoption law before making snap judgements. No one adopts accidently.

I’d also point out that 10% of Syrians are Christian while another 3% are Druze. So it’s not safe to assume that Jolie would be adopting a Muslim orphan in the first place.

All true gents but I must say this article lacks truth, firstly the current president of Syria Dr. Bashar Al-Assad is not a dictator, actually he is the first president who has opened the market to global economy, he has developed and supported many projects which until today are making Syria one of the most sought after investments for regional and international corporations. He encouraged the financial sector by adopting all international banks, the academic power by opening publicand private universities of a good standing level. The American culture is one of the many influential cultures in Syria, young generations speak good english and watch friends on the local channels. I mean we are sick of being accused of dictatorship, isolation,”3rd world” country etc… this political myth or propaganda has to end especially when the Syrian President has done nothing but protect his country from oil-hungry A-list countries who have absolutely no boundries nowadays.

2)You’re quoting a story form a US tabloid (one of the worst) and a television network that can’t even quote the story from the tabloid corectly.

That al-Arabiyya quote is wrong. The tabloid was talking about Jolie’s adoption of Maddox. this is the right quote from the OK! tabloide.

“Back when Angelina was still married to ex Billy Bob Thornton in 2001, she adopted son Maddox – legally, by herself, as a spokesman for the Immigration and Naturalization Service in D.C. confirmed that “only [Angelina's] name [was] on the [adoption] papers.”"

The “tabloizidation” of the media and their news and the laziness of the jornalists, that can’t even check the facts out, are killing jornalism.

To readers: While Syrian adoption law is influenced by Sharia law, isolated cases of Western adoptions have taken place of both Muslim and Christian children from the country before. See:

However, these adoptions require multiple lawyers and the investment of a good deal of both money and time. Jolie, obviously, has all of these things.

This all does not mention the simple fact that the rules of the world work differently for a-list celebrities.

What kind of a Jornalist are you that you don’t know that it’s impossible for an western non muslim to adopt from Syria?

And that you don’t know that since Jolie and Pitt aren’t married the adoptions are always made by Jolie and so its only her name that is in the adoption papers.
