England’s education bureaucracy
Today, I found a great article–“An Education Bureaucracy that Works”– in the journal Education Next. Written by Vanderbilt University Professor Steve Heyneman, it is a substantive yet concise (only 1,800 words) overview of how England’s school system works. Normally I would put this under my “Headline Grabs” (which you can find to the right in the ”My T/S Activity Feed” box), but I thought this was interesting enough to warrant its own post. And for those of you who just can’t get enough on the subject of bureaucracy, check out my post on bureaucracy and charter schools from earlier this month.
