What you should be reading now
On my old personal blog, I started a feature called “What You Should Be Reading Now”, which was just my humble attempt to gather up and share recent good articles that I’d come across. I think it’s a useful feature and I think I’m going to keep it up here at True/Slant. Without further ado, here’s this week’s edition:
- This piece is a few weeks old at this point, but David Grann’s deeply troubling New Yorker article about Cameron Todd Willingham, a man executed by the state of Texas who may have been innocent, is one of the best pieces of journalism you’ll read all year.
- For the politically minded, the Columbia Journalism Review has a piece on the (relative) decline and fall of the Drudge Report.
- Jon Chait takes on Ayn Rand and Objectivism in The New Republic. Brian Doherty of Reason magazine offers a response.
- What happened to the law school started by Domino’s Pizza founder Tom Monaghan?
