With a rate of 15.3% of Americans still without insurance that is a very solid signifier that the system has not improved in 15 years. It is also very likely the demographic that needs the most assistance, but time and again is gravely overlooked.
Our nation needs a change but many are afraid, be it personal investment at stake or simply fear of something different, to look at possibilities outside of what they already know works “just well enough.” Just well enough however, isn’t good enough for everyone. Not at a time when we are slipping down the world charts. There was an article I found written by several doctors and medical professionals and in the article there was a statistic that the World Health Organization has ranked the US as the 37th best country in health care, http://www.ourblook.com/component/option,com_sectionex/Itemid,200076/id,8/view,category/#catid107 this is very unacceptable considering at this point in time.

There are roughly 45+million Americans without insurance, and hopefully the House and the Senate will find a way to listen to them as opposed to the bribes I am sure they are getting from Insurance companies, pharmaceuticals, doctors, and lawyers alike. We are facing a tough challenge yes, but not impossible.

Excellent expose Matt!

I’ve been doing my best to spread it around through Facebook, etc. One thing I would add to this: why stop with Goldman? Keep going! They’re are plenty of sharks out there – how I call the “power elite” – who do their best to control, manipulate and in the process destroy our economy for their own selfish gain.

Maybe you can start with Fed itself. Now there’s a story for you. The American people deserve to know this sad story and you’re just the guy to do it so I hope you think about it.

And if you’re interested in my two cents, I posted a blog about the economy last year that I believe is still valid today, although it does take a different perspective from you but I think it reaches some of the same conclusions.

The post was a copypasta – I just copied Ungar’s comments from earlier in the thread. So, in actuality, you’re criticizing Ungar. Which, on this thread, makes you one in a million. Get your own schpeel, pal.

And no, I’m not the ‘real’ Mish, but I am a fan of his blog, and we did have a few discussions about setting up a collaborative drug lab – Mish & Mish’s Store for Meth & More, it woulda been called. But Mish ditched on the idea.

Jebus on a stick… can we have a new corollary to Godwin’s law, where the knucklehead who first uses the antisemitism canard is the object of forum-wide ridicule?

I am tired of anti-”white forty-something-Freemason”-ism (we get blamed for EVERYTHING – even ‘the Protocols’), but you don’t hear me going on about it.

And not for nothing, but Semites are quite tan and don’t have blue eyes… you might mean anti-Ashkenazism.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assert that the ‘Mish” posting in this thread ain’t Mike Shedlock.

I’ve never seen Mish (the real Mish, from GlobalEconomicAnalysis.blogspot.com and SitkaPacific) resort to Screaming CAPS, and I’ve never seen him use the word ‘loose’ when he means ‘lose’ (that is like wearing a T-shirt that says ‘relied on the STate for my education’).

I only say this in case anybody happens upon Mish in some other context and is surprised at the lack of screaming CAPS and such.

And if I’m wrong… I’m disappointed.

I have to wade through 10 juvenile dick waving posts to find one substantive comment. If I were Matt I’d punch Rick in the face. Rick at least should know better. And don’t bother replying, Rick. George Soros and the democrats have a goal to destroy the dollar and to push for a global currency. As a result, George Soros would make billions just as he did from his attempt to destroy the British Pound. To push for global dominance they have chosen a messenger who will not oblige to his constitutional obligation to prove that he is a US citizen and created legislations such as the Stimulus Bill, the Equal Pay Bill, the Global Poverty Bill, the Tobacco Bill, the Climate Change Bill, the upcoming Health Reform Bill, the UN sponsored Bill that will force Americans to pay a global tax and whatever else they have hidden in the bills no one has read. If George Soros and the democrats are allowed to succeed, it will bring America to a $2 trillion dollars plus deficit, make the dollar worthless and cause this country to self-distrust.

I don’t think we can yet say the chances of getting a “public option” into the health care reform bill is hopeless. There is another major bill in the Senate which Baucus’ bill must compete with. It does have a public option.

And should Baucus bill get to the floor Senators will have the chance to offer amendments, one of which will certainly add a “public option.” I’m not sure how Baucus bill could survive the gauntlet of 60 Democrats, at least 50 of whom would vote for a public option without SOME sort of public option passing as an amendment.
