Preview the soon-to-be-cancelled Terrell Owens reality show

Who loves me?

Who loves me? Do you?

I suppose there are worse ideas in this world, though I’m hard pressed to think of them right now:

Get ready because NFL super-star and self-proclaimed “8th Wonder of The World” Terrell Owens is letting you inside his personal life on the new reality series, “The T. O. Show,” premiering July 20th on VH1! (via VH1)

Watch the video preview here. The most telling moment for me: When T.O. is released from the Dallas Cowboys, sensitive soul that he is, he needs love and support. Who does he call? His publicist, then his friends. In that order. That’s T.O. in a nutshell, there.

C’mon, who doesn’t want to watch T.O. do sit-ups in his driveway, choreograph touchdown dances, cry about how much he loves his QB and switch out the bling in his ears? Of course, I doubt they’ll be allowed to use NFL game footage, so you won’t have to see him alligator arming passes. That’ll have to keep for Sundays.

    Matthew,

Great. The biggest ego, a poor winner, an even poorer loser, immature, repugnant and those are his strong points. True, he has talent. But, he is the biggest backstabbing baby to ever play for the NFL. He can’t get along with anybody for any length of time. Should be a blast to watch. Every single time he would do the obligatory press conference with his new uniform after starting with another team, he would open his mouth and the insincerity would start to flow. It was going to be different this time.

It never was. If you can’t get along with your coach or your quarterback with the kind of money they pay you, you need professional help. Count me out, I’ve already watched him be a jerk for years. Why have to change the channel to find him to watch more of the same? VH1 must have money to throw away as T.O. doesn’t come cheap.

    Sandy

    About Me

I left journalism school with one goal in mind: to work at TV Guide. It didn't happen. So, I stuck with my day-job: retyping entertainment listings into the Prodigy computer service for The Los Angeles Times. Dial-up modems got faster and I stuck with the Web -- launching, editing and innovating national, political and feature news Web sites for ABC News, The Washington Post and AOL. I've spent 15 years making other people's content look good on computer screens. It's time the shoe finally landed on the other foot...
