Texting while driving equals blood and broken bones

    This is a tiny version of what I saw while a reporter at the Montreal Gazette…and had to cover the results of a head-on collision between a bus and a car. The driver of the car had been wearing headphones.

    The windows of the car were sheeted with blood. I took my driver’s license test the next day.

    I learned to drive in Montreal, a hilly city of aggressive drivers. If you can handle learning there, you come away with some confidence. I even learned to drive stick.
