Eww: Acid and Formaldehyde Found In Designer Clothes
Think twice before dropping $2,500 on a skin-tight Dolce & Gabbana dress; it may do glorious things for your ass, but it also may have a weirdly high acid and formaldehyde content. According to China Daily, 48 of the 85 batches of samples taken in for quality control tests from designer brands like Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss and Trussardi didn’t pass government inspections.
I would get it if we were talking about one of those hideous metallic dresses from Forever 21; with those I assume people are aware that they’re doing dangerous and unwise things. But Versace? I’ve always wanted to be buried in one of their slinky black frocks, but including formaldehyde now seems a bit preemptive.
