Marc Jacobs Makes Shoes For Child Hookers

MARC jellis z_3310When I was a kiddie, the cool seven year olds wore Gap jellies with a chunky heel. For added badassness, certain colors did, in fact, come in a sparkly variety. We wore the plastic-baking-in-sunlight blisters on our feet like badges of honor bestowed for putting in the time instead of pussying out with Tevas. Now, for only about $470 more than the heeled jelly sandals of yore, Marc Jacobs is offering a much sluttier, far more confused reincarnation. Complete withe velvet, a platform, pink plastic and the classy jelly faux basket weave we all remember, high class child hookers everywhere can stop searching for their new summer shoes.

    About Me

Lily Q lives and obsesses about clothes in New York's West Village, where a myriad of tempting stores and pretty dresses threaten to leave her living in a box much like a hobo. When not crying silently about how little time and how many shoes there are, Lily is writing about it.

You can also check her out on TheFrisky.com, The Local blog (Brooklyn version) at The New York Times and her own blog, Lily Q Talks Clothes. She could easily have written this bio in the first person but prefers that special variety of douchiness that comes with writing in the third person.
