How Republicans could really bring the hurt to Democrats

You know what would really be the best way for the GOP to screw the Democrats? They should concede the Nevada Senate race to Harry Reid, and succeed in taking the majority in the Senate by other means.

That way, Democrats would still be stuck with Reid as Minority Leader. That’s how the R’s could hold the Senate until Gelaxon fromthe Crab Nebula extinguishes our Sun.

From today on the Senate floor:

Oh yeah, they mischaracterized his remarks. No shit, Sherlock. That’s what they do. That’s why instead of crowing about how much progress you’ve made, you focus on how much work you’re going to continue doing. So that instead of giving them an easy opportunity to mischaracterize the stupid thing you said, you deliver a cogent political message that Americans can get their heads around.

Just remember: “Joe Lieberman is the least of Harry Reid’s problems.”

  1. collapse expand

Hah. I think the chance to take out another Senate Majority Leader is more attractive to them. However if the next leadership post goes to someone tougher and smarter like Durbin, they might regret it.

…yeah but, no one wants this subhuman in government…Reid and Pelosi, are white trash gang leaders…..who have the power of the law on their side, keeping them out of prison…

    About Me

I'm waiting for the day when I can get the news directly into my brain. Until then, I'll be lit up by the electric glow of screens, chasing the latest breaking like the hopeless news junkie I am. Ever since the Encyclopaedia Britannica tried to launch a web portal ten years ago, I've seen many ends of the online news spectrum, from my time as a political news reporter for both RawStory.com and the Huffington Post to the better part of a year I spent running the late New York Sun's website. There have been a lot of other stops in between. Now I am your homepage editorial overlord. But I haven't let it go to my head. Yet.
