National Republican Congressional Committee moves to swiftly scrub anti-Parker Griffith attack ads from its YouTube channel
A few minutes ago I embedded a video into my post on Rep. Parker Griffith, the freshman Alabama Democrat who is reportedly switching to the GOP this afternoon. The video came from the National Republican Congressional Committee’s YouTube channel – it showed a Fox News clip about the attack ads the NRCC was running against Griffith in the 2008 campaign that an Alabama TV channel refused to air.
But now it’s gone. I guess the NRCC is pretty quick with the history eraser button, but YouTube hasn’t caught up yet.
Here’s the search index link to the item in question:
And here’s an attack ad they pulled:
At least the first of these videos was available on YouTube within the past hour. I guess the NRCC just wants to make Democratic opposition researchers work a little bit harder as they gather material to compose their attack ads featuring the last election cycle’s Republican attack ads against Parker. It sounds like 2008 was an exciting election in Northern Alabama, and 2010 will be even more exciting.
Update: Ben Smith says jinx buy me a coke.
