Conservative blogger hawks ‘I’m With Joe Wilson’ t-shirt, for free
Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina may have apologized for being a dick last night and heckling President Obama during him from the floor of the House of Representatives. But to prove that no bad deed ever goes uncelebrated, a conservative blog based in Wilson’s home state, The Palmetto Scoop, is giving away 50 free “I’m With Joe Wilson” t-shirts:
I love the suggestion that conservatives wish more Congressmen would heckle the president. I guess our elected president doesn’t deserve to address members of our legislative branch. Wilson was so bold that he nervously explained to America today what a dick he was and slunk away as members of the press asked him some simple questions!
Anyway, why give it away for free, TPS? After all, people who want to be dicks are often willing to pay for it as the variety of questionably racial t-shirts available at Cafepress demonstrates. You guys say you represent the party that believes in free enterprise, so why don’t you go ahead and prove it? Here are some ideas for other t-shirts celebrating boorish behavior related to South Carolina politics:
1. A white Strom Thurmond on a black background. Caption on the back reads:
America: Better off if Strom Thurmond had been elected president.
2. An orange t-shirt with a child of unclear race. Caption on the back:
I miss my daddy, John McCain.
3. A blue t-shirt, with a graphic of a disco-style album cover with a sad-looking Barack Obama and underneath it:
4. An South Park-style cartoon Mark Sanford on a red t-shirt. Caption underneath him:
Screw you guys, I’m going hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
Think of all the revenue you could make! Set up your Cafepress account and get to work!

I’m glad to see conservatives finally putting their money where their mouths are and publicly supporting our intelligence agents working hard to protect this country by taking a stand with Amb. Wilson and his wife against the politicization of intelligence and retaliation against whistleblowers.
Sigh. If only.
My favorite comment today was from a South Carolina student stating that Joe was right to ” call a Spade a Spade”. Can it be any clearer than that what the GOP is doing?
