Daily Dosage: Insult your way to a 34D
Good news for those trying to convince their partners to go for the bigger breasts or that sleeker nose. All you need to do is make them feel rejected because of their sub-par appearance.
A study in the new issue of Body Image polled 133 college students, and asked them to recall either a positive or negative appearance-based comment. Those who displayed a heightened sensitivity to harsh comments were much more interested in plastic surgery procedures. The study didn’t offer examples of the jabs and insults, but cited “weight-based” as the most toxic.
Friends and romantic partners were responsible for much of the inner turmoil – so if you’ve got a platonic pal in need of a tummy tuck, give them your best shots!
