John Edwards Admits What We Already Knew

John Edwards

Yes, he’s the baby’s daddy.

Here’s the statement…

“I am Quinn’s father. I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves. I have been able to spend time with her during the past year and trust that future efforts to show her the love and affection she deserves can be done privately and in peace.

It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me. I have been providing financial support for Quinn and have reached an agreement with her mother to continue providing support in the future.

To all those I have disappointed and hurt these words will never be enough, but I am truly sorry.”

I hope she understands too.

Actually, I hope Edwards leaves politics entirely and once Quinn is old enough to realize what her father did, John will be such a different person then the guy who cheated on his dying wife that Quinn won’t even care.

Here’s the question: Did you hear about Obama’s huge new banking regulations?

I don’t think Edwards has or will leave politics entirely. He’s in rehab mode. One sign of that? He released this statement “exclusively to NBC.” If you’re trying to do the right thing, accept responsibility, make sure the child feels accepted and ’show her the love and affection she deserves,’ why bother with an exclusive release?

    About Me

I run the multi-partisan blog Donklephant. If you never been before, it's a site where everybody is welcome to come and have an open, honest debate about the news of the day. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but it's always interesting.
