Bill Clinton Still Can’t Keep It In His Pants? Seriously?

Bill Clinton Hillary Clinton

I usually don’t get into the politics of personal destruction because, to me, what’s between two people and their relationship is between those two people.

However…

The war room within a war room dismissed or discredited much of the gossip floating around, but not all of it. The stories about one woman were more concrete, and after some discreet fact-finding, the group concluded that they were true: that BIll was indeed having an affair — and not a frivolous one-night stand but a sustained romantic relationship. …. For months, thereafter, the war room within a war room braced for the explosion, which her aides knew could come at any moment.

When politicians are running for office they represent the hopes and dreams of millions of people…and they have a duty to not be reckless. In this case, it’s not necessarily the politician but a high profile spouse who’s continuing to do incredibly dumb things. However, if Hillary is turning a blind eye to Bill’s wandering one, well, she’s responsible too. And this one of the biggest reasons I was so against the Clintons getting back into the White House. Because Bill can’t be trusted and is therefore a huge liability.

True, Hillary should be commended for getting this far, but the only way she’s going to gain enough momentum to break through that glass ceiling is if she loses 200+ pounds of Bubbaggage.

Here’s the question: Will you ever trust Bill Clinton again?

Did it ever occur to you that they may have a marriage of convenience?

All this sanctimonious moaning and groaning over the personal relationships of people is a complete distraction. Perhaps Hillary will get a divorce but if they do it should be their decision and not one that is demanded by a public that routinely cheats on their spouses.

This moral superiority of the public is a joke, fifty per cent of couples break up even among the Moral Majority. Why?

    Infidelity.

Clinton can still do his work as can his wife just as Tiger Woods can still golf. I mean who the hell watches or follows Tiger for his supposed moral upbringing.

Are we getting to a point where only priests and ministers need apply…wait, that won’t stop it either.

First off, of course it has because their marriage is obviously one of convenience. And, as mentioned, what’s between them is between them. But being a public figure like that carries additional responsibilities. Because if somebody is willing to lie in their marriage, supposedly their most intimate and trusted relationship, what else are they willing to lie about?

As far as priests or ministers…is Obama either of those? More politicians than not don’t cheat on their spouses. And infidelity isn’t the cause of all marriages ending.

There’s nothing sanctimonious about pointing any of this out. Bill can’t be trusted and so Hillary’s credibility is in question because she turns a blind eye. I’m not saying it’s fair, but that’s how the fame game is played and everybody knows it.

As far as relating this to Tiger, well, I could care less about Tiger and I don’t think the comparison is apt. However, Tiger is also a public figure and a “brand” and that means he stands for something. Now that’s tarnished. Maybe some of his sponsors will drop him, maybe they won’t. But Tiger also isn’t trying to run the entire country. So there’s a big difference between an athlete and a politician. Again, not necessarily fair, but it’s how it is.

Athletes and politicians may be held to higher standards, standards that ignore that they like all of us are humans in a complex society. Mickey Mantle was a drunk. John Wayne a draft dodger. Cary Grant was bisexual. Hoover was gay. John Kennedy a skirt chaser. Should their careers have been put in jeopardy by the press?

Yes it how it is now and if lying disqualifies politicians we can pretty much throw everyone out because bending the truth, ignoring the truth, reinterpreting the truth, or flat out lying about the truth are requirements in politics. We know we can’t get the truth behind policy, where all our lives are affected but we fuss and get the vapors over meaningless personal issues. Maybe I am just an old fart in this era of twittering every bathroom trip and paparazzi stalkers and memoirs from teenagers and phones that can reveal one every movement and every rumor is transformed into fact to be blogged worldwide in a matter of hours. I respect privacy and reserve judgment for public issues.

Maybe you have never lied to your wife or girlfriend, maybe you are still young and in love but I can assure you that you, like every other human on this planet in a relationship will. It’s just the way it is.

I’m not a big fan of either Hillary or Bill, but as a woman, I take umbrage at the idea that Hillary is as responsible as her husband is. Further, when he was President and all of his sexcapades were coming out on an almost daily basis, I really didn’t see that as a reason to impeach him. Men, and women too for that matter, have extramarital affairs — I do not see that as an impeachable offense; and I sure as hell don’t see any reason to blame Hillary for what Bill does or fails to do! They are both adults, their actions and their behavior are theirs alone!

Hillary made her choices. She became fabulously wealthy, a United States Senator, Secretary of State and a potential President of the United States by remaining a doormat and enabling her compulsive and abusive husband. She’s the anti-role model for modern American women.
