Quiet Collisions
From the start, New York has been about collisions. Cultures, races, philosophies, sounds, smells and scenes have crashed into each other for centuries, lighting up the city with energy.
For some time, I have been exploring some of the city’s quieter collisions in my photography. These collisions are often just curious juxtapositions, really, scenes that aren’t immediately arresting. However, when given a second look, they offer access to some of the small moments that tell the city’s larger story.
