At Home On the Road
As an adult, I’ve lived in cities. Growing up, I lived in the country. Missouri country to be exact.
This past weekend, I went back to the country for a funeral. My travel route took me from New York to St. Louis by plane and from St. Louis to my childhood home in Southwest Missouri by car. On those drives I rediscovered a pungent slice of the cultural milieu of my youth. And all I had to do was look out the window. Here is a slice of what I saw.
