Video from the Million Moron March

I was surprised to see the “Images from the Million Moron March” post gain so many angry comments, well, I guess that’s bound to happen when you call people “Morons” on the “Idiocracy Index” – Anyhoo… Now we got video!

Images from the Million Moron March

(Million Moron March title credit to Bill Maher)
Yesterday was the Glenn Beck 9-12 tea party protest on Washington DC. Apparently thousands of people showed up to show off their anti-Obama art work. I found a great photostream on Flickr via Wonkette and I’d love highlight some of the best here.

1. Birthers still enjoy the idea that Obama was born in Kenya, they fit right in here at the 9-12 protest.

2. Although the Birth certificate conspiracy has been debunked over and over, the birthers were out in full force on 9-12. (via foramenglow)

Somebody put Orly on TV

Today head-birther Orly Taitz released Barack Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate. In case you’re not familiar, Orlitz is the head lawyer/dentist in charge of the argument against Obama’s citizenship.

Here she is on MSNBC, explaining quite clearly why the Kenyan birth certificate is legitimate… Just kidding – she rambles and rants for about 7 minutes, never explaining anything. Don’t worry though, she was able to slip in a comment about how the media are Nazis. Ah…mainstream media – always able to get to the core of the issues – in this case proving that “birthers” are indeed crazy.

Jon Stewart takes on the Birthers

America’s most trusted newsman, Jon Stewart, took on a story that I have been following for the past week. Birthers, the sub-culture of Idiocracy where the people are so ashamed of their racism they need an excuse to call the black guy “un-American.”

Here is just a portion of the 8-minute segment. Six months into the presidency and it appears all major news networks are still willing to give time to this topic. The clip below presents a great piece of the failing media. On July 17th, Kitty Pilgrim, filling in as host of the Lou Dobbs show debunked the birth certificate theories by going as far as finding two Hawaiian newspapers that announced Obama’s birth back in 1961. Three days later,  Dobbs, back in the anchor chair, said that the questions about Obama’s birth certificate have yet to be addressed. Wow.

Idiocracy Mob Takes Over Town Hall

It’s been less then 10 days since the last “Birther” story, but this unique branch of Idiocracy can really make the day interesting quick.

During a recent Town Hall meeting in Delaware, the mob literally took over. In the clip below, you’ll see a woman stand up and say something about Obama being from Kenya to Rep. Mike Castle, soon after, the whole town hall breaks into the pledge allegiance. Kinda creepy.

I was born and raised in Peterborough Ontario, from there I've moved to London, Banff, Victoria and finally Qualicum Beach - I am confident I have found the best place in Canada to settle. I don't consider myself a writer, I only play one on the Internet - I started blogging years ago for my now-defunct website ThrowawayyourTV.com - Since then I've blogged for AOL and worked as a manager/trainer at Mahalo.com assisting writers in learning the ropes of Internet Research and web-writing. Away from the computer I work as a pay-on-call Firefighter here in town.
