As 2009 comes to close, I took some time to reflect on all the idiots we had the joy of meeting this year and decided that it was my duty to sift through all our champions and find the ultimate idiot of the year.
The story I chose was from January 2009, just before I started this blog. It’s about a family who called the media to complain about a Shop Rite store who would not put their sons name on his birthday cake, the sons name was Adolf Hitler Campbell.
The family insisted they were not racist white supremacists as they showed off their Nazi tattoos to the media and introduced Adolf’s sister named Joyce Lynn Aryan Nation Campbell and his even younger sister named Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell. Needless to say, child services decided the parents were unfit to raise children.
Sarah Palin went to the beach in Hawaii, while there TMZ caught her wearing a McCain 2008 campaign visor, oddly enough, she blacked out the McCain name with a black sharpie, upon printing the pictures Palin could only do what she does best: Quit. Palin felt she needed to make a press release announcing that she was cutting her vacation over the “visor controversy.”
Four-year-old Hayden Wright wanted to be like his deadbeat jailbird father. To pull that off the little gaffer decided to break into the old-man’s beer stash and stagger around the neighborhood at night. This binge led little Hayden into a neighbors house where he stole Christmas presents, one being a little girls dress, which he was found wearing as the police arrived. Needless to say, Hayden’s mother April, feels like a failure as revealed in the interview below.
The Queen of Idiocracy appears to be making a move for the Republican ticket in 2012, here she is explaining to Fox News how she believes she is smart enough to be President.
Read it out loud, it’s fun.
(Bill O’Reilly:) Let me be very bold and fresh again, do you believe that you are smart enough, incisive enough, intellectual enough to handle the most powerful job in the world?
(Sarah Palin:) I believe that I am because I have common sense and I have I believe the values that I think are reflective of so many other American values, and I believe that what Americans are seeking is not the elitism, the um, the ah, a kind of spineless, spinelessness that perhaps is made up for that with some kind of elite, Ivy league education and, and a fat resume that is based on anything but hard work and private sector, free enterprise principles. Americans are could be seeking something like that in positive change in their leadership, I’m not saying that that has to be me.
I was born and raised in Peterborough Ontario, from there I've moved to London, Banff, Victoria and finally Qualicum Beach - I am confident I have found the best place in Canada to settle. I don't consider myself a writer, I only play one on the Internet - I started blogging years ago for my now-defunct website ThrowawayyourTV.com - Since then I've blogged for AOL and worked as a manager/trainer at Mahalo.com assisting writers in learning the ropes of Internet Research and web-writing. Away from the computer I work as a pay-on-call Firefighter here in town.
