Jon Stewart reports on Alex the Baby

Yes, baby Alex (who is either 2- or 4-months old depending on which news report you trust) weights 17 pounds and apparently that’s enough to be rejected by Rocky Mountain Health Insurance, now this baby is uninsured.
Now the family gets to go through the joys of appealing the decision and even taking their case the Colorado Division of Insurance, who doesn’t like dealing with mountains of bureaucratic paperwork just to get your baby insured.
Again, as a Canadian, I can’t stress enough that the greatest thing about Universal Health Care is the “peace of mind” you get, just consider the idea of never really having to worry about whether you (or your baby) will be covered or not.
