Meet the Guests – 101 Days of FNC Idiocracy

We just met some of the staff and alumni, now let’s see what types of characters they invite onto the show.

Day 17: August 22 2005 – Day 18: February 2 2006
Pat Robertson, one of America’s leading Christians, gets invited on Fox News regularly. He says the most un-Christians things for example when schools in Dover, Pennsylvania chose to teach the theory of evolution over creationism, Robertson warned that during the next disaster they face, they shouldn’t turn to God, since they “voted god out of the city.”

He also called for the assassination of democratically elected Hugo Chavez, Robertson reports Chavez is going to use nuclear missiles against America.

Day 19: October 25 2007
Speaking of Pat Robertson and the Christian Broadcasting Network, their terror analyst Erick Stackelbeck is always available when Fox News needs some terror news analysis.

Terror analyst Erick Stakelbeck served as Camerota’s foil in boosting the terror fears. Although he did clarify that the FBI memo was from 2003, the vintage of the intelligence didn’t squelch his terror speculation; Stakelbeck warned that the fires appeared to be the result of a “coordinated effort … over a large area.”

While busy speculating terrorism, Fox may have missed the real story – the real cause of the fires was drought combined with a 10-year-old playing with matches. But thanks for jumping to conclusions and raising the fear level of your viewers, Fox News.

Day 20: April 22 2004
Fox News especially enjoys having guests on that will simply back up what Fox News has been saying. Classic oxymoron here as Jon Stewart reports on the Fox News Truth Squad.

Day 21: February 28 2008
What is a rational discussion about animal rights without a Fox News guest, in this case Jonathan Hoenig, holding a dog and expressing it is his right to smash its head against a wall. Really does show the lengths some people will go to anger liberals.

Day 22: July 1 2009
Ex-CIA analyst Michael Scheuer and Glenn Beck discuss how Bin Laden can save America.

Day 23: February 4 2003
Sometimes it’s the Fox anchor’s attitude towards the guest that is the story. Jeremy Glick opposed the war in Afghanistan even after his father was killed in 9/11. Bill O’Reilly didn’t care to find out why, he just wanted to lecture the kid. Needless to say, the segment was a mess.

Day 24: September 21 2005
Sometimes however, the guests get the most out of Bill O’Reilly, Here is Phil Donahue debating the Iraq war with Bill.

Day 25: April 23 2007
When Richard Dawkins was Bill’s guest it became a fascinating forum of patience vs. ignorance.

Day 26: August 9 2007
Sometimes the interviews are immaculate, such as when Neil Cavuto and Fox News interviewed President Bush many times during his presidency. I think they will be a bit harder on Obama if the opportunity ever comes up.

Day 27: September 22 2007
It certainly wasn’t as easy for former President Bill Clinton, who spoke to Chris Wallace on this day.

Those are all the Fox News guests from this collection, if I missed any or you know of any other great moments from Fox News guests, by all means, share them below in the comments. Next up, Things Fox News Does.

A few more off the top of my head:

Ann Coulter walked off Hannity & Colmes when she received some unexpectedly tough questioning from guest host Kirsten Powers.

(Note: our video was taken down but it’s widely available elsewhere)

Hannity, defending waterboarding says he’ll undergo it for charity but has chickened out of his offer.

New Black Panther Party member Malik Shabazz confronted Hannity on his past association with white supremacist Hal Turner (currently in jail for threatening three federal judges in Chicago). Shabazz had been, until then, a somewhat regular guest on the show.

    About Me

I was born and raised in Peterborough Ontario, from there I've moved to London, Banff, Victoria and finally Qualicum Beach - I am confident I have found the best place in Canada to settle. I don't consider myself a writer, I only play one on the Internet - I started blogging years ago for my now-defunct website ThrowawayyourTV.com - Since then I've blogged for AOL and worked as a manager/trainer at Mahalo.com assisting writers in learning the ropes of Internet Research and web-writing. Away from the computer I work as a pay-on-call Firefighter here in town.
