Does Bowe Bergdahl Deserve to Die?
We were shocked when we listened to Fox News strategic analyst, Lt. Col Ralph Peters, describe to the viewers at home the situation of kidnapped NATO soldier Bowe Bergdahl. Fox News and Peters refused to show Fox viewers Bowe’s recorded message. Peters explains that Bowe Bergdahl is a liar and most likely a deserter (“not to speculate,” he adds) sadly the analyst then suggests Bowe should be killed by the Taliban in order to save America the hassle of legal fees.

The first time we heard about this missing soldier was earlier in the month from P.J. at the Trueslant Afghan Desk.
I’ve just spoken with somebody who’s close to the people searching for this soldier. He told me that the guy went AWOL on his own, just wandering off the base.
“The guy thinks he’s some kind of Zen master,” my source told me. “He had some crazy idea in his head that he was going to wander the countryside and discover the true meaning of life and death. He’ll probably find the “death” part o.k.”
Not surprisingly, military brass and those who have to search for the missing soldier are furious and not a little annoyed.
Sounds like this soldier is indeed a deserter (fwiw). How long has Bowe been in Afghanistan? Could he just as easily be going crazy from war? Perhaps he should be brought home, treated for PTSD and let American lawyers sort out the justice part of his running away? The Fox clip blew our minds because we imagined the parents and family might have been watching, I wonder how this is sitting with them?

Of course he doesn’t care how hard it sounds, the guy probably never experienced “duress” as he put it. Some, some sympathy would be nice. Not praising the guy, but at least considering his family. FOX, how I hate thee.
