Reasons not to be Green

This is a post I found over at Bad Astronomy, it features Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen (R) giving her opinion to why the government shouldn’t bother investigating the environmental impact of Uranium. Idiocracy ensues.

Bad Astronomy quips

The irony, of course — and there’s always irony when creationism is involved — is that she’s talking about uranium mining, and it’s through the radioactive decay of uranium that we know the Earth is billions of years old. And she also praises technological achievements!

  1. collapse expand

I already addressed on another column, so no comment. Ok, a little comment. This woman, I want to know how she got elected. Then, I want to move to her district, and beat the snot out of her in the next election. Amazing.

    About Me

I was born and raised in Peterborough Ontario, from there I've moved to London, Banff, Victoria and finally Qualicum Beach - I am confident I have found the best place in Canada to settle. I don't consider myself a writer, I only play one on the Internet - I started blogging years ago for my now-defunct website ThrowawayyourTV.com - Since then I've blogged for AOL and worked as a manager/trainer at Mahalo.com assisting writers in learning the ropes of Internet Research and web-writing. Away from the computer I work as a pay-on-call Firefighter here in town.
