War protest this Saturday: Who would Jesus bomb?

Didn’t it feel like a sucker-punch to “hope” and “change” when Obama announced he was sending 40,000 more troops to Afghanistan? Once again, we have many a war protest ahead of us. This Saturday is the first Obama-era nationwide war protest that will also mark the 7th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

Our war protests in San Francisco are like a cross between a Rainbow Gathering and one of those circuses were guys hammer nails up their noses

Last war protest I went to I saw a guy with a profound sign that said, “Who Would Jesus Bomb?” Good questions. Think about it: who would Jesus bomb? (If Jesus had the capacity for bombs.) I think the answer would be: Jesus probably wouldn’t bomb anyone, but during the Spanish Inquisition his crew did a pretty darn good job without bombs. No bombs needed for lovable Jesus when a flaming blowtorch to the testicles will do.
