Atheist Billboard Prompts Death Threats

Billboard4_edited-1If you don’t believe in God we’ll fucking kill you!

The Cincinnati Coalition of Reason (Cin CoR) put a billboard on Tuesday to promote atheism. By Wednesday they were told it had to come down due to the amount of death threats received over the sign that trumpeted: “Don’t believe in God? You are not alone.”

Shawn Jeffers, co-coordinator for Cin CoR, naively commented: “Everything that has happened shows just how vital our message is. It proves our point, that bigotry against people who don’t believe in a god is still very real in America.”

Sorry Shawn, it just goes to show if you’re in places like Cincinnati don’t you DARE mess with the Jesus. He’s got an army and apparently they’re armed!

  1. collapse expand

It’s about time someone put up a billboard to let people know they’re not the only ones who feel the way they feel. Having more questions than answers is what makes us human. No one person knows everything there is to know about religion, and the death threats over this billboard shows how people can hate in the name of ignorance.
