You’re right, Tommy Davis handled it remarkably well Noctum. You really want America to see your cult’s spokesman storming off a set in the middle of an interview–it presents a really great image.

Are you joking!? He freaked out on TV. In fact, Tommy Davis went back to the ABC headquarters and demanded that he get a copy of the tape. They ended up calling security and had him removed from the premises.

In fact here’s a link to the story. Sounds like he freaked out both on the air and off the air. Paul Haggis made a wise move:

THAT was a ‘freak out’?? As misguided and weird as this guy is, he handled the situation remarkably calmly. Your ‘freak out’ tag for this tells more about YOUR slant against Scientology (which I consider to be a weird and amusing cult). But you did get me to click on this, so who’s laughing now? ; )

You call that a “freak out”? Mr. Davis calmly told the reporter that those types of questions would not get an answer, and if he continued to ask them, he would walk out on the interview. Well, the reporter continued to ask them, and Mr. Davis calmly walked out. The headline “Tommy Davis Freaks Out” is grossly misleading. Does the author of this piece have no shame? Will you say anything for hits?

It is interesting to note that “Narconon” (not to be confused with legit rehab groups, this one is a scientology front group) uses the exact same “purification” (hours and hours in a sauna, massive doses of niacin, drinking vegetable oil) program and claims it is 100% secular.

Can’t have it both ways and I am surprised that journalists have not latched onto this obvious hypocrisy.
