Padma Lakshmi launches food-inspired jewelry

Padma Laksmi’s fashion choices on Top Chef has been cause for concern. The model-turned-television host has left little to the imagine with her skimpy kitchen attire, however the one style statement Padma piles on is jewelry. And now the host has launched her own line of baubles ranging in cuffs, necklaces, rings and earrings.
Coming from the author of “Tangy Tart Hot and Sweet,” it makes sense that Padma has used shapes inspired by ingredients like seeds, pods, cardamom, lentils and cloves to design the collection. The fine line of jewelry, which is sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, may be pretty but it doesn’t have much of a recession-friendly price tag: pieces retail from $300-$6,000.
