Jon Stewart backs Sarah Palin in the late night primary

Jon Stewart is on a roll these days.  More than anything, he is – despite his partisanship – fair, funny, and willing to take shots at his own side.  He’s even willing to say a few nice things about Sarah Palin – if only to do so at Mitt Romney’s expense….

I agree with Palin to the extent she says the mainstream media is broken.  The success of The Daily Show is built on this theory, and proof positive of its validity.  Fox, however, is a far cry from a remedy.  And honestly, it has nothing to do with its conservative slant and everything to do with dishonesty.  The very idea that it is somehow fair and balanced is preposterous.  It’s no more fair and balanced than MSNBC – but at least MSNBC’s slogan doesn’t pretend otherwise.

Amen on Fox. As for Stewart, he’s part of our daily staple.
