Year End Poll: Worst Person of 2009
Okay, so Time always does the “Person of the Year” and generally if you get picked that’s a compliment. This year, Time picked Ben Bernanke. Now, whatever you feel about the Fed and Bernanke in particular – it’s time to set that aside.
I have a more interesting poll in mind: The Worst Person of the Year. Because, to be fair, no matter where you sit politically there were plenty of people out there shooting to become public enemy #1.
Feel free to write someone in in the comments. I promise I missed somebody deserving of this honor.

I forgot Dick Cheney and Tiger Woods. These are obvious additions, and I would add them, but True/Slant has a very buggy poll software system and I can’t edit any polls once I publish them. Stupid technology.
I thought Cheney at first but then realized he is not human.
In response to another comment. See in context »Sarah Palin… demagogue much?
And how does Harry Reid have -1%? Buggy indeed.
The Dalai Lama? Why?
Something for everyone – even my Chinese nationalist readers.
In response to another comment. See in context »I think it’s important to call out Lloyd Blankfein specifically from Goldman Sachs in general. The “God’s Work” comment enshrines him in the Hall of Worst People Ever. And a second runner up has to be Joe Wilson for the “You Lie” debacle. Truly sickening from someone who’s supposed to be a leader.
Where’s the “Harry Potter” option?
I thinking picking one name will be arbitrary at best- so many names to choose from!
