What Men Think When They Watch the ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ Trailer
Eat, Pray, Love is a pop culture phenomenon. It was #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for 57 weeks, so now, of course, it’s a movie. The film has three things that will kill with women: the beloved book; Julia Roberts; and the creator of Glee, Ryan Murphy, coming on to direct. But if it’s gonna make the big money and become a Hollywood smash, it’s going to have to play to men as well. At least a little bit. How’s that going? Well, let’s see what men think when they watch the Eat, Pray, Love trailer.

I get it. It’s like “The Razor’s Edge” meets “My Fair Lady.” Except Rex Harrison is a toothless asian and Julia Roberts has fake tits.
Or something like that.
When I saw the preview, I didn’t know it was ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ at first, and I just kept thinking, “Oh no, Bali is such a lovely place, and Julia Roberts is going to ruin it by encouraging ‘Sex and the City’-grade women to visit. Stop them!”
I was too late.
“Based on the incredible true story.”
Incredible? The lady goes on vacation.
True? Of course it’s true–nothing happens.
Ha, I loved that line true. It’s incredible that airplanes exist. Beyond that, everything entirely credible.

In response to another comment. See in context »Ok, first, whoever cut this trailer together to get their point across did nothing for me except annoy the hell of out me. I wanted to see what my honest opinion was of the trailer and how it made me feel, but APPARENTLY I didn’t have the choice cause the knucklehead who put this trailer on Youtube did it for me. Secondly. REALLY, somehow, if you’re a man, you don’t like books? Get real! So yeah, I would of commented on this post, and maybe stayed on topic, but this video just pissed me off enough to say, “I really don’t care what you think”.
